First, I must say, I ABHOR having my picture taken. It never, ever conveys how beautiful I truly am.
I am in need of new human servants. My current staff is not attending to my needs in the way that I expect. I expect fresh food every two hours, fresh water every 4 hours, and a fresh *ahem* bathroom facility every 8 hours. I do not think this is too much to ask. However, my current staff are too preoccupied with their small human to meet these simple requests.
When my human servants came home with this small human without asking for my permission, I was appalled. To punish them, I denied them the joy of my presence for 4 days, showing myself only for the briefest of times. It's not that I disliked the small human from the beginning, but, the noise level definitely was intolerable!
Since that time, my female human servant sits in a chair for hours on end allowing the small human to suckle her mammary glands, ignoring my needs. I constantly remind her that I will not be ignored, however, I feel that my voice is not apprecited nor heard anymore. Therefore, I require new servants.
Also, when I am in the mood for the humans' attention, at night of course, when I am at my best, they shut a door in my face or spray me with water. The only thing I hate worse than having my picture taken is getting wet!
If you feel that you can meet my needs and demands on my schedule, please contact me immediately. My current staff must be let go as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Her Majesty Ruthie
(Yes, it's a silly name, but the humans have never learned to say my proper name.)

Too funny! I really like hearing this from the cat's view point.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Love it. Cats are funny creatures.
ReplyDeletelol. we used to have a cat with the same attitude. and we couldn't tell if he liked it when we brought a puppy into the house. some days, he couldn't be bothered. other times, i think he actually liked the little guy.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha!
ReplyDeleteMy cat isn't that dignified, he's spiteful and transparent at his efforts to take over the world.
You're blogging too? Glad to meet you! Liza from Liza's Eyeview is a softie, don't tell her I told you, but she really is our servant.
ReplyDeleteYours truly,
Gus and Bob

You definitely need to get together with my master. He would totally agree with your assessment of our servant abilities.
ReplyDeleteHer Majesty Ruthie could start a support group with Rudy and Mickey. Our pet tortoise and pet rat have been neglected since David was born almost a year ago. They have just recently started to get some of the attention they have been missing because David is obsessed with them. He calls them both "Baby" and loves to watch them eat and sleep. He reminds Mommy to feed them!
ReplyDeletePoor, poor Ruthie.
Her Majesty Ruthie really would have a rough life with me... I'm allergic to cats so she'd have to be outdoors. And then I would expect her to "hunt" certain critters that try to get into the house. Sorry H.M.R. - only room for redneck cats in my neck of the woods!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate Ruthie's p.o.v., my husband and I are, in fact, regularly occupied as cat furniture. I like your writing style! Please come see my new blog @ abbieaw blog spot (dot) com.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
