Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful for God's Word! It is alive and relevant and speaks to me every day. I've been spending some time in Galatians recently.

Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. 5 For we are each responsible for our own conduct. (Galatians 6:4-5)

A great reminder to me that I need to worry more about myself and what I think, than to seek the approval of others. If the work that I am doing satisfies God and me, that it doesn't have to measure up to anyone else.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9)

It's so easy to get discouraged! But keeping my eyes fixed on the Lord and what He has called me to encourages me to keep going, even in the small, mundane tasks of daily life.

I'm so thankful for the way that God has spoken to me through His Word this week! What are you thankful for today?
