I realize that a lot of my readers may live in areas that will truly have six more weeks of winter (thanks to Punxsutawny Phil!), but we are experiencing a bit of early spring here in South Carolina. And I love it!
Spring is my absolute favorite season: flowers with new blooms, trees beginning to bud, good weather for playing outside. And more sunshine. And flip flops, open-toed shoes, and NO SOCKS! I do not like to wear socks!
Not only does the spring-like weather have wonderful benefits physically, it serves as a wonderful reminder of the new life that we have in Jesus Christ. Yes, I am thankful for the signs of spring that I see around me. But I am MORE thankful for the gift of new life that Jesus has freely offered me in Him!
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

ReplyDeleteI'm sure we're not completely done with cold weather here, but we're getting hints of spring. Warm, sunny days, lots of birds singing, and bulbs starting to come up. I think the buds on my pear tree are bigger every day!

Spring is also my favorite time of year. I live in the south as well and enjoy our early springs. Since I was raised a northern girl ... believe me...I am truly thankful for a very short winter around here! Happy TT!
