My good bloggy friend Tara at Feels Like Home has started a new weekly carnival all about kids and food. I love to cook, and I know that I came by that love honestly, as my mom is very handy in the kitchen. I am hoping to pass that legacy on to Ladybug (22 months) as well. She loves to play in the kitchen while I am cooking and baking. And if she's being fussy, she will get a bird's eye view of what I'm doing when I put her in the mei tai carrier on my back. (Like last night!)
It's so fun to watch her take the things that she sees me doing and incorporate them into her own play. She loves to sort through her plastic food and name as many as she can. Now she will even get the pots and pans out and put the food in them. And I'll give her a wooden spoon so she can stir, stir, stir! One day last week, I even found her food in a muffin tin still inside the kitchen cabinet! (Forgot to take a picture, sorry!)
But I did get some cute pictures of Ladybug stirring her food. She doesn't like to pose for pictures or even stand still for very long, so she is a blur of activity. Such a busy little girl!

Looks like fun! My son's "soup" looks a lot like that too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a yummy vegetable and fruit soup. She will be on Top Chef someday! She is precious. How fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! She has a nice big pot full, doesn't she? It won't be long before she's donning an apron and helping. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in Grace's Kitchen!
