First, for our letter. In addition to having Ladybug color the letter, I traced eggs for her to color. Then I cut them out and glued them on the background page. She loved gluing! It was another big step for me, knowing the possibility for messes. But she did great! She doesn't like getting the glue on her fingers, but she's fascinated that it can make two pieces of paper stick together
Our verse: Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Joel 2:32 (I believe Hubby was helping her finish this project, hence the extra E's at the bottom of the page.)

I didn't do a song for this week. I couldn't think of a fun song. Any suggestions?
Our other crafts: an Earth and an Elephant
For the Earth, we used coffee filters that had been flattened out. I drew boundary lines for the "continents" and directed Ladybug to use the blue and the green washable markers in the appropriate places. It's important to use washable markers for a craft like this. And the colors can be scribbled on. You don't have to be terribly precise.Once the coffee filter is colored in, take a water bottle that has a mister on it and lightly mist the filter. You don't want to saturate the paper; you want just enough to make the colors start to run together. With older kids, you can let them mist the paper. Set the paper aside to dry. And you have a nifty looking Earth!
For our Elephant, I took directions from here. (Well, now I can't find the right link!)
Little Mama (age 10) with her Elephant
Drama Queen (age 8) with her Elephant
We had a lot of fun doing crafts together during Cousin Day Camp. They certainly kept me on my toes. I found that making a prototype of the craft ahead of time really helped the older girls to "get it" so they could be self-directed and I could focus on helping Ladybug.
(Note: We didn't do all these crafts in one day. The nieces were here several days that week, so we generally did one craft each day.)

I am loving all of the crafty fun you've been having! Cute ideas!!
